This sketch was inspired by the artist Sam Caldwell who uses linear mark making and muted colours to create lonely characters. I have used a combination of collage and fine liner to create this piece.
These eye samples I created were influenced by Emilio Morenatti's documentary photographs of Pakistani women who have been burnt in acid attacks. I wanted to create the effect of stitched, bruised and burnt eyes. I created this effect using wire, thread, melted plastic and modrock.
